Sam Airey is a singer-songwriter and musician from the Isle of Anglesey, now based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He writes songs that often deal with the seaside and death, although not exclusively. Raised in rural North Wales, he grows up listening to folk and country music, and those influences shape his own writing alongside other sounds and experiences he picks up over time.

He plays a range of instruments and is sometimes joined by friends in the studio and on stage. His live performances draw comparisons with Nick Drake, Conor Oberst and Fionn Regan.
