S Club 7
S Club 7 are a British pop group that emerge in 1998 and remain active after a split in 2003 and later reunion. The original line-up includes Rachel Stevens, Paul Cattermole, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Hannah Spearritt.
Television and film
The group becomes widely known through its television series Miami 7, which later changes its title to L.A. 7 for a subsequent season. The show is accompanied by television-length films, and this cross-media format helps establish the group in both the UK and the United States.
Singles and mainstream success
S Club 7 achieve major chart success with singles including Bring It All Back, Never Had A Dream Come True, Don't Stop Movin and Have You Ever. Their music sits within pop, with dance-oriented elements.
Line-up change and later activity
The group later shortens its name to S Club after Paul Cattermole leaves to pursue other work. They split in 2003 amid reported internal difficulties and problems involving drugs and alcohol. Rachel Stevens is the member who goes on to have the most notable solo success. In 2014, the group reunion is confirmed, and they perform for BBC Children in Need that year before touring the UK the following year.
Spin-off
S Club Juniors, also known as S Club 8, is a related spin-off group made up of teenagers and pre-teens.
