Roy Dahan

Roy Dahan is a singer-songwriter from France who works in folk, acoustic and folk-rock settings. He is associated with Israeli songwriting traditions and is based in the United States.

Career

Dahan’s first studio album, Some of This Life, appears in 2011 and receives critical and public praise. It is named best album of the year by TimeOut Tel Aviv. He follows it with The Man in My Head in 2013 and Through The Woods in 2016.

He tours and performs in cities across Europe and the United States, and after the release of his second album he is invited to perform at the international Liverpool Sound City Music Festival.

Style and influences

Dahan cites Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen and classic Israeli singer-songwriters among his musical influences.

Current work

He is working on a solo piano album and a companion composition book inspired by classical music composers.
