Roxanne de Bastion

Roxanne de Bastion is a singer-songwriter based in London, with origins in Germany and the United Kingdom. She is born and raised in Berlin, where she begins performing her own songs at 15.

Her writing draws strongly on 1960s music, and she is associated with artists such as Bob Dylan and Ray Davies, as well as later singer-songwriters including Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple. Her work sits within folk, acoustic and anti-folk contexts.

Recording

In 2012 she records her first LP, The Real Thing, with producer Gordon Raphael, who has worked with The Strokes and Regina Spektor. The album is released on Nomad Songs.
