Rotterdam Terror Corps, often abbreviated to RTC, is a Dutch gabber and hardcore techno group from Rotterdam, Netherlands. It forms in 1993 and remains active. The group’s core sound sits within electronic music and gabber, and it develops a strong association with hardcore performance culture.

Line-up and members

The act begins as a five-DJ project with DJ Distortion, MC Raw, DJ Reanimator, DJ Petrov and DJ Rob. DJ Distortion remains the only original DJ in the group. DJ Petrov and DJ Rob leave to pursue individual work. Reanimator, identified as Patrick Moerland, produces the first album and leaves twice; after returning, he leaves permanently in 1995 following an argument with DJ Distortion.

In 2002, MC Raw is replaced by Cyriel Brandon, also known as RTSier, for health reasons. RTSier serves as MC and live performer on stage. Other members listed with the group include DJ Paul Elstak, Matthijs Hazeleger, MC R.A.W. and Eugenio Dorwart. DJ Distortion, also named George Ruseler, is the main producer, while MC Raw, also known as Ricky Peroti, provides vocals in the earlier line-up.

Style and live performances

Rotterdam Terror Corps is known for performances that include erotic imagery, with female strippers and pyrotechnics used in live shows. The group also performs with other MCs, including Lex Couper, and from 2016 RTSier and additional MCs handle the stage shows.

Collaborations

The group works with a number of other DJs and producers, including Bass-D, The Headbanger, Neophyte, King Matthew, SRB/Dione and Dr. Macabre.
