Rosie Lowe
Rosie Lowe is a London-based singer-songwriter and producer from Devon, England. She is associated with alternative R&B, electropop and indie pop, and her work also sits within pop, soul and R&B.
Early life and training
Lowe is born in Devon in 1990 and grows up in a very musical family. She starts playing music at the age of five and continues through her education. She trains in jazz and studies music before moving to London in 2007 to complete a Popular Music degree at Goldsmiths University.
Career
After leaving Goldsmiths, Lowe signs to Domino publishing. She releases her first EP, Right Thing, through 37 Adventures in 2013 and co-produces it with Dave Okumu and Kwes. Toward the end of 2014, she releases the singles Water Came Down and How'd You Like It.
Her debut album, Control, is released in 2016. Following a period away from the spotlight, she releases the single The Light in 2018 and announces her second album, YU. Critics describe her sound in terms including R&B rhythms, experimental electronica, minimalism and understatement.
