Rosabella Gregory

Rosabella Gregory is a UK singer-songwriter and pianist from Ivybridge in Devon, now based in London. She graduates from the Royal Academy of Music in 2000 and works with a style that combines her voice, piano playing and lyric writing.

She collaborates with her twin sister, Dina, on lyrics. Her songs draw on stories and characters rather than direct autobiography, and she describes herself as a conduit for the narratives she sings about. One example mentioned is “Elodie”, a song inspired by a young girl observed while Gregory played piano for a local ballet class; the girl stands out for her bohemian style and individual way of dancing.

Gregory describes herself as half-Egyptian and half-Indian. Her writing and performance are presented as story-led and rooted in character studies, with a focus on connecting with listeners through those narratives.
