Roberto Surace
Roberto Surace is an Italian house DJ and producer from Rome, born in 1991 and raised in Calabria. He begins focusing on studio production in 2013, developing a style built around a fresh, clean groove, detailed rhythm, percussion and a warm, deep bass line. His productions also make use of vocals, with a sound that moves between more structured rhythms and melodic passages.
Releases and support
His first notable recognition comes in 2017, when Vibe appears on a various-artists release on Snatch Records, the label run by Riva Starr. The track is then included in Marco Carola’s Music On Billboard Playlist for 2017. In 2018, Fuck Down is released on Elrow Music and also features on Sonar 2018. That same year he signs to the German house label Superfett and releases Come on everybody, which receives long-term support and has been played by Carl Cox. In 2019, Bloom is released on Ibiza Talent and gains further attention with support from The Martinez Brothers.
SURA Music
In February 2019, Surace launches his own label, SURA Music. The label quickly receives support from artists including Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, BLOND:ISH, Joey Daniel, Neverdogs and Anna Tur.
Performance style
His live sets are marked by a clear rhythmic flow designed to carry the dancefloor from start to finish, reflecting the same detailed approach that shapes his studio work.
