Rob Tissera

Rob Tissera is a UK dance music DJ and producer associated with house and harder styles, including hard house, hard trance and breakbeat. He is known for versatile club sets and for playing across a wide range of dance sounds, including house, dirty funk, uplifting house and big-room trance. He mixes on three decks and two CDJs, and commonly layers tracks with acapellas and effects. He is also known for re-editing much of the music he plays.

Career and releases

Tissera’s track The Day Will Come, credited as Quake vs Rob Tissera, is widely treated as a dance classic and reaches the UK charts. Other well-known tracks include York’s Awakening remix, Stay, Holdin’ On, Kick Up the Volume, Beautiful Like You and Burning. He also contributes four tracks to the soundtrack of Human Traffic.

DJ work and compilations

He appears on numerous compilation mixes, including Judgement Sunday 2008 Mix and Hard Dance Anthems. He also records Radio 1 Essential Mix sets, with one of his appearances taking place in 2004.

Kissdafunk and related projects

Tissera founds the Leeds-based house club Kissdafunk and remains one of its main DJs. He is also linked to Quake and RT Project.
