Resonate

Resonate is a group active from 2002 to the present. Two acts use the name, including a progressive post-hardcore band from Exmouth and Exeter in England, and a separate two-piece indie rock and dance band from Sheffield.

Exmouth/Exeter band

The Exmouth and Exeter line-up plays progressive post-hardcore. Its recorded output includes Our Primary Motives in 2005, Tell Yourself It’s Paranoia in 2007 and Curvatures in 2009. The band’s members are Ed Bidgood on guitar and vocals, Matt Freer on drums and vocals, and Alex Binks on bass and vocals. After 2010, the same musicians form another band called Apollo’s Arrows.

Sheffield duo

The Sheffield version of Resonate is a two-piece indie rock and dance act. It features Alex Piearcey on lead vocals and guitar and Mark Pereira on backing beats, melodies and drums. Their style combines indie rock, dance music and electronic elements, with the band described as part of the 2manydj’s and Jaguar Skills generation.
