Resin
Resin is a name used by several different acts, including a grindcore and noise project, a hardcore act, a Canadian duo, and a defunct grunge trio from Cambridge in the UK. The name also appears in connection with ambient, post-grunge and home-recording material.
Canadian duo
One version of Resin is a duo from Carleton Place, Ontario, made up of Joel D'amour and Matt Pacey, who also uses the name Forkimified. They use the name while at high school and focus mostly on lo-fi acoustic and grunge songs, with occasional electric guitar noise collage. This later becomes known as Lemon Scented Shotgun.
Cambridge grunge trio
Another Resin is a now-defunct three-piece grunge group from Cambridge, England, formed by Josh Ward. Ward later records electronic music under the name Resinate.
Other uses
The name Resin is also associated with a grindcore and noise band and with other acts in related underground styles, including hardcore.
