Redfield

Redfield is a house act from the United Kingdom, although the material associated with the name is described as action rock and also linked to hardcore and electronic music. The act has a top-selling record and more than 50,000 MP3 downloads, and it builds on the success of an EP called The Hellfire Club, which sells out its final pressing.

Releases and recording

After The Hellfire Club sells out, Redfield returns to the studio to record a full-length album called Feeding the Dead with producer Jeremy Parker. Tracks from that release, including “Stay The Hell Away From Me” and “The Dying Time,” gain radio play and downloads and spread around the band’s hometown.

Press and recognition

Redfield appears several times in Getout Magazine, which describes it as a likely successor to Jimmy Eat World. The magazine also includes the band in its “Devil Picks” and names The Hellfire Club a must-own CD. Redfield also appears in Final Word Magazine’s top bands list alongside acts such as Jimmy Eat World, Alien Ant Farm and Dropkick Murphys.

The act is nominated for and wins several awards in Arizona’s Ska-Punk Awards, including Lifetime Achievement, Best Song and Best Album. It also receives nominations for Artist of the Year, Welcome to the Big Time, Best Recording and Best Rock Band at the AIM Awards. RollingStone.com includes Redfield in its unsigned band of the year contest, and Jim Beam places the band on its list of top unsigned bands.
