Red Light Company

Red Light Company are a London-based alternative rock band active from 2007 to 2009. The group forms as a five-piece line-up made up of Richard Frenneaux on vocals and guitar, Shawn Day on bass, James Griffiths on drums, Paul Mellon on guitar and Chris Edmonds on keyboards.

The band comes together after Frenneaux and Griffiths leave their previous group, Dirty Perfect. Frenneaux places an advert online and Day responds, after which Day moves from Wyoming in the United States to London to join the project. The band signs to Lavolta Records and receives comparisons with Arcade Fire, U2 and Editors.

Red Light Company tour with Editors in early 2008. Their debut single is With Lights Out, written about a childhood friend of Frenneaux’s who dies by suicide. It is followed by Meccano, Scheme Eugene and Arts & Crafts. Their debut album, Fine Fascination, is released in 2009. In June 2009, Shawn Day leaves the band to pursue other projects.
