Rat City Riot is an American punk rock band formed in 2003. The group plays street punk and punk rock, and it builds its early identity around constant touring and a do-it-yourself approach to the road.

Career

The band signs a record contract with TAANG! Records in late 2004. Its release Dirty Rotten Games is scheduled for January 2005. After that, Rat City Riot continues to tour through equipment problems, cancelled shows and van breakdowns, while also going through lineup changes.

By 2007, the band has logged more than 40,000 tour miles. It then works with Street Anthem Records for The Open Road E.P., which is set for release in 2007. The group is associated with a rough, road-tested touring reputation and a punk sound rooted in its live activity.
