Radio Dead Ones

Radio Dead Ones are a punk rock group from Berlin, Germany, active from 2003 to 2013. The band forms around Beverly Crime on vocals, Rik Oldman on guitar and vocals, Ändru Bourbon on bass, Sonny on guitar, and TV Moerk on drums and vocals. They begin in Berlin in 2003, when the members decide to start a band in response to the local punk scene.

Early activity and live reputation

From the start, Radio Dead Ones play in Berlin and nearby cities and build a reputation as a loud live act. They also tour on the road with bands including Backyard Babies, Dropkick Murphys, Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards, U.S. Bombs, Mad Sin, Agnostic Front, H2O, Deadline, Real McKenzies, Beatsteaks, Total Chaos, Unseen, Shock Nagasaki, Frontkick and The Loyalties.

Recordings and releases

The band records early material in their own RDO Drinking Room studio. Their first releases are a run of vinyl singles: Out Of Tune, issued on their own Guitar Mafia Music label; Holy Ghost, released on Squoodge/Drunk'n'Roll; and a split single with Frontkick on GMM. They later issue the 12-inch Killers & Clowns on Wanda Records, followed by a split release with Funeral March on Wanda Records, No Solution and True Rebel Records, and a split with The Loyalties on Not On Your Radio Records.

Their self-titled Radio Dead Ones album appears on Bad Dog Records in CD and LP formats, alongside the single Late Man on the same label. They also release Gambian Bumsters on Wanda Records and True Rebel Records. A DVD/CD compilation, Dance Hall Troops, includes three exclusive tracks. Their recordings include the first sessions to feature Sonny after he joins in early 2007.
