PVRIS

PVRIS is an American group from Lowell, United States, active since 2012. The band is led by Lynn Gunn, born Lyndsey Gunnulfsen, who is a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. The group is made up of Alex Babinski, Lynn Gunn and Brian Macdonald, and releases music on the PVRIS label.

Background

The band begins in 2012 under the name Operation Guillotine in Lowell, Massachusetts. It starts as a five-piece metalcore group, with Kyle Anthony handling unclean vocals. The line-up then changes to include vocalist and guitarist Lynn Gunn, guitarist Alex Babinski, bassist Brian Macdonald and drummer Brad Griffin. Griffin leaves before the release of the first album.

Releases

PVRIS moves into pop rock and related electronic and alternative styles across a series of studio releases. White Noise appears in 2014 and includes the tracks “You and I” and “My House”. All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell follows in 2017 and includes “What’s Wrong”. In 2019 the band issues the EP Hallucinations. Use Me comes out in 2020 and includes “Hallucinations”. EVERGREEN is released in 2023 and includes “ANIMAL” and “GODDESS”.

Line-up changes

Before Use Me, Babinski is removed from the band. After that, Gunnulfsen continues with Macdonald and drummer Danny Agosto in the live line-up.
