Purson

Purson is a psychedelic rock group from Southend-on-Sea, England, active from 2011 to 2016. The band is fronted by Rosalie Cunningham and is named after a demon. It is associated with crossover prog and psychedelic rock, and its sound draws on ’70s progressive rock and heavy rock, with occult and proto-doom elements.

The group’s line-up includes Cunningham and bassist Ed Turner. Its music is marked by unusually catchy, pop-leaning arrangements, alongside imagery linked to Hammer horror and pagan rituals. Cunningham’s interest in the Beatles is a notable influence on the band’s writing.
