Pool Kids
Pool Kids are an emo and indie rock band from Tallahassee, United States. The group forms in 2016 and performs with Christine Goodwyne on vocals and multi-instrumental duties, Andy Anaya on guitar, Nicolette Alvarez on bass and Caden Clinton on drums. The band also begins as a duo of Goodwyne and Clinton, who write the whole of its first album.
Early releases and recognition
Pool Kids release their debut studio album, Music to Practice Safe Sex To, in 2018. The record is written entirely by Goodwyne and Clinton. It attracts wider attention after Hayley Williams of Paramore posts about it on Instagram, which brings the band broader recognition.
Later work
In 2020, Pool Kids release the music video for “$5 Subtweet”. They tour with The Wonder Years in early 2020, but the tour ends abruptly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, they release the single “That’s Physics, Baby” and their second self-titled album, Pool Kids. That album later receives a European release through Big Scary Monsters, and the band supports La Dispute on their Spring 2023 Europe tour as well as playing their own headline dates in the UK.
Recent album
The band’s third studio album, Easier Said Than Done, is released on Epitaph Records in 2025. Pool Kids also announce a North American tour in support of the album.
