PIXEL GRIP
Pixel Grip is a Chicago electronic music group made up of Jonathon Freund, Rita Lukea and Tyler Ommen. Their sound combines dark wave, EBM, electronic music, minimal techno, pop and synth-pop, with industrial elements and a strong pop sensibility. The trio builds songs around brooding bass, polished synthesizers and Lukea’s vocal delivery, creating music that mixes confrontation with dancefloor appeal.
Releases and musical themes
The group’s third album, Percepticide: The Death of Reality, is a dark and emotionally direct record shaped by trauma, anger and renewal. It follows a period of near-breakup and creative reunion, and reflects those tensions in its subject matter and atmosphere. Their work often combines heavy electronic textures with melodic writing and themes of intensity, self-expression and transformation.
Live performance and profile
Pixel Grip are known for their live shows, which merge elements of rave culture and performance art. They tour across North America and have appeared on major stages such as Riot Fest. They also support acts including HEALTH. Their performances are paired with immersive visuals and high-glam aesthetics, and they perform in settings ranging from warehouse clubs to fashion environments such as VERSACE.
