Pink Hearse

Pink Hearse are a horror punk group from the United Kingdom, formed in 2005 and still active. They are a five-piece band from Fleetwood and Blackpool in the north of England.

Style and influences

Their sound draws on old-school punk and horror punk, with links to Siouxsie and the Banshees, X-Ray Spex and, to a lesser extent, the Dead Kennedys. They are also compared with later acts such as the Horrorpops, the Distillers and the Merry Widows. Their songs and image combine horror and sleaze themes with a glam-influenced stage presence.

Live work and touring

Pink Hearse build their reputation through energetic live performances and play venues across the UK. They support and appear alongside a wide range of punk and goth acts, including the Epoxies and Bella Morte from the United States, Vamppire Beach Babes from Canada, and Psydoll from Japan. In the UK they share stages with Vice Squad, Goldblade, the Damned, Screaming Banshee Aircrew, Devilish Presley, Zombina and the Skeletones and 999.

Festivals and other appearances

The band plays the Rebellion Festival in 2007 and 2008. They also appear at Leeds festival, Woolstock and Blackpool's Mis-Fest.

Line-up

The band has five members. One guitarist, Catlow, later performs as a solo act.
