Perrie is an English pop singer and songwriter from South Shields, United Kingdom. She is Perrie Louise Edwards, born in 1993, and she is also known professionally by her first name alone. She records under Perrie Louise Ltd.

Career

Perrie first comes to wider attention as a member of Little Mix. The group forms through the eighth series of The X Factor UK and goes on to win the competition. Little Mix becomes one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

With Little Mix, Perrie wins three Brit Awards, including the group’s win in the British Group category, which makes Little Mix the first girl group to win that award. The group also achieves 19 Top 10 singles and five number ones on the UK Singles Chart. It later goes on hiatus in 2022.

Solo work

Perrie begins her solo career with “Forget About Us”, released as her debut solo single in 2024 and the lead single from her debut solo album. The song reaches number 10 on the UK Singles Chart, making her the second Little Mix member to score a Top 10 hit and the first to do so as a solo artist.

She follows it with “Tears”, which is intended as the next single but debuts and peaks at number 69, so it becomes a standalone release. “You Go Your Way” follows as the second single from the album and reaches number 53, with promotion including an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. She also releases “Christmas Magic”.

Her self-titled album is released in 2025 and reaches number 3 on the album chart.

Perrie is known for her vocals, especially her head voice, vibrato and falsetto, which receive critical praise.
