Pangea is the second project from Dan Lacksman, who is also behind Deep Forest. It works in the area of new age studio dance music and combines danceable polyrhythms with worldbeat textures and synthesizers. Compared with Deep Forest, it places more emphasis on world music and is described as less accessible, while still aiming to make non-Western musical elements work for Western listeners.
