Opium Lord is a Birmingham-based UK metal band active since 2012. The group plays doom metal and sludge metal, and is also associated with black metal and metal more broadly. It releases on Candlelight Records.

Background

Formed in Birmingham in 2012, Opium Lord develops a bleak sound built from slow doom passages, sludge weight and abrasive noise. Its music is described in terms of filthy grooves and a harsh, threatening atmosphere.
