Northcote

Northcote is the solo name used by Matthew Goud, a Canadian singer-songwriter and former member of Means and The Emerson Letters, where he appears as the frontman. Born and raised on the prairies, he spends a number of years touring across North America and develops a roots-oriented solo sound. Northcote works with the Toronto-based independent label Black Box for the release of the debut EP Borrowed Chords, Tired Eyes, which is issued off-stage and online only.

Black Box is home to artists including The Wooden Sky and Shad.
