North Base

North Base is a drum and bass group from Manchester, active since 2009. The group consists of Wiliam Gregory and Silver.

Recordings and labels

North Base records for New State Music, Wheel & Deal Records, Sin City, Relentless / Dynamic Ventures, Rat Records, Freelance Diva, Don't Play Records, Nemesis Recordings, Basshead Music and Sleepless Records. Their work includes remixes for artists including Benga, TC and Jakes, as well as releases associated with Wheel & Deal and Sin City.

Recognition and activity

In 2012, North Base places third in the National Drum & Bass Awards category for Best Breakthrough Producers. The group also has a number one-selling single in the Trackitdown chart. Their music receives support from Skrillex, Skream, Benga, Subfocus, Andy C, Mista Jam, Annie Mac, Redlight, N-Type, Hatcha, Friction, B-Traits, Mary Anne Hobbs, DJ Cameo, Mike Pickering and Jack Beats, among others.

Live work and events

North Base performs at club nights and festivals including Global Gathering, WMC Miami, Hideout Festival, Parklife, Fabric London, the Warehouse Project in Manchester, World of Drum & Bass, Metropolis and Fantazia. At the time of the biography, the group is also working towards an album and live show, and is connected with various artists for the LP.
