No Artificial Colours are a London house music duo made up of Ryan Ellis and Lewis Wright. The pair come from South East London and begin working together after finding themselves booked at the same events and being asked by promoters to play back-to-back sets. They are active in deep house and house, and their releases appear on a mix of UK and international labels.

Style and releases

The duo’s music reaches the Beatport Deep House charts and attracts attention from artists including Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, Lee Foss and Visionquest. Their work also draws coverage from music outlets such as Clash, I-D, Beatport and Mixmag. Their first EP appears in 2011, and their sound develops towards a deep, hypnotic style that uses acapellas, loops and other mix techniques alongside their own productions.

Career and activity

Since meeting, Ellis and Wright focus on playing, finding and making music. They perform in clubs across the UK and Europe and also work on A&R for their own label, SinQ Records.
