Nina Persson
Nina Persson is a Swedish singer and songwriter from Jönköping. She is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of The Cardigans, the Swedish pop group she joins instead of going to art school.
Career
Alongside her work with The Cardigans, Persson performs as a solo artist under the name A Camp, releasing two albums in that project. She also appears on the tribute album Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited and works with the rock group Sparklehorse.
Persson sings on the Manic Street Preachers track “Your Love Alone Is Not Enough,” which appears on the album Send Away the Tigers. The song is voted Track of the Year by Dutch radio station KXradio.
Other work
Persson is married to American composer and musician Nathan Larson. She sings lyrics on some of his songs for the soundtracks to Todd Solondz’s Palindromes and the Australian film Little Fish. She also makes her acting debut in the 2006 film Om Gud vill.
