Nightvision

Nightvision is a group name used by several acts in different genres, including hard rock, melodic heavy metal and trance.

British hard rock band

One Nightvision is a four-piece hard rock band from Lincolnshire, in the UK. The band forms in 2003 and plays live with acts including Diamond Head, Fozzy, The Imperial Vipers, IwasACubScout, New Generation Superstars, Sweet Seduction, Patchwork Grace, Forever Never, From Almost the End, Kid Ego and Disarm. It signs to the Manchester label Rocksector Records and releases its debut album, As The Lights Go Down, in 2009, followed by a run of UK gigs to support the album and build the band’s profile.

Finnish heavy metal band

Another Nightvision is a Finnish classical-influenced melodic heavy metal band from Seinäjoki. This group forms in 1999 and features Petri Hietikko on guitar, Ville Hautaluoma on guitar, Tuomo Hietikko on bass and Henri Peltola on drums. Petri Hietikko is also associated with Refrain, Project Silence and Sacred.

Swedish heavy metal band

A third Nightvision is a Swedish heavy metal band with influences including Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin and Magnum. The band begins playing on the local scene in Motala from 2001, signs its first record contract in 2004 with the German label MTM-Music & Publishing, and releases its debut album in 2005.

Trance alias

Nightvision is also used as an alias by trance producers John van Dongen and Ron van den Beuken, who release the track Believin' in 2002.
