Career
Waterhouse records and performs in a raw, rhythmic rhythm and blues style. He develops material in settings that include bedroom writing, Muni commutes and DJ booths in San Francisco, and records in an all-analogue studio in Southern California. His self-produced single Some Place appears in 2010 and gains a sold-out pressing, along with coverage from outlets including The San Francisco Chronicle, LA Record, Aquarium Drunkard and XM Sirius radio, with play on Lou Reed’s programme.
Following the single’s release, Waterhouse forms a backing group called The Tarots and also works with a trio of female vocalists, The Naturelles. His debut album, Time's All Gone, is issued by Innovative Leisure Records in 2012. His second album, Holly, follows on the same label in 2014, and his third studio album, Never Twice, is released in 2016.
