New Desert Blues
New Desert Blues are an indie rock group from Hampshire, United Kingdom. Active since 2012, they work with harmony-led, noir-tinged sound and are based on the South Coast of England.
Releases and style
The band first releases the single Adam and then issues its debut extended play, Devil’s Rope, in 2014. That EP includes the second single Zachary, described as cinematic in tone. Their songs are presented as connected stories, with track titles used as character names and the records framed as a set of linked musical narratives.
Recording and production
Devil’s Rope is recorded during sessions at London’s RAK Studios. The band works there with Isabel Seeliger-Morley and credits itself as co-producer on the release, focusing on detailed arrangement and production.
