Narcissus

Narcissus is an American Christian hardcore band from Cleveland, United States, active between 1998 and 2003. The group forms in 1998 through John LaRussa and John Pope, who remain in the band from start to finish. Its line-up also includes Justin Carroll on bass, Ray Taylor on guitar, Derek Carter on percussion, Stephen Cushman on percussion and Josh King on bass at different points.

The band releases material through Takehold Records before moving to Century Media. Some of its albums are later reissued through Tooth and Nail. Narcissus appears on The Vans Warped Tour, and the band prepares for European dates connected to the international release of Crave and Collapse, which receives a positive response overseas. The group is known for a progressive, inventive approach to hardcore and rock, and is considered influential within the style.

After the band breaks up in 2003, John LaRussa forms Inhale Exhale with Brian Pittman, formerly of Relient K.
