Must

Must are a UK rock band from London, formed by Australian-born Dave Ireland after he moves to the city and meets drummer Reuben Alexander. Ireland persuades Alexander to work with him at a club one night, leading to a three-day party and then a musical partnership. After trying a number of bassists, the group adds German-born Kai Lemke on bass.

The band gigs around London and gains a positive response from rock audiences, even though the city’s dance scene often overshadows them. Their first wide release is Androgynous Jesus in 2002, which also gives them their first chance to present their music outside Britain.
