MuddiBrooke

MuddiBrooke is an all-female grunge-rock trio from Derby, England, active since 2020. The group consists of Harriet McDonnell, who performs as Brooke, on lead vocals and guitar, Anna Melidone on bass and backing vocals, and Mary Prince on drums.

The band’s sound draws on grunge and alternative rock. Their music also reflects a range of other influences, with an emphasis on individual character and a direct, impassioned style.

Background

MuddiBrooke forms in Derby in January 2020, bringing together three musicians whose experience already includes performances at a number of festivals and appearances alongside acts including The Beautiful South, Luka Bloom, and Dr and The Medics.

Releases

The band’s debut single is Turn To Dust. The song presents the group’s blend of heart-on-sleeve songwriting and grunge-based rock, and it is the first release from a planned sequence of singles leading to a debut EP and a UK tour.
