Moses Boyd

Moses Boyd

Moses Boyd is a London-born drummer, composer, producer and electronic musician. Born in 1991, he works across electronic music, grime, hip hop, jazz and trip hop.

Career

Boyd wins the MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act in 2015. He also receives the John Peel “Play more Jazz Award” at the 2016 Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards, and the Worshipful Company of Music Young Jazz Musician of the Year award in 2014.

Projects and collaborations

He leads Moses Boyd Exodus, as well as Solo Exodus, both of which combine jazz with grime and electronica. Boyd also releases music through his own label, Exodus Records.

He collaborates with Lonnie Liston Smith, Ed Motta, Little Simz, Four Tet, Floating Points, Sampha, Zara McFarlane and Gilles Peterson.
