Morgana
Morgana is an Italian Eurodance project on 21st Century Records and S.A.I.F.A.M. Publishing Group. It is fronted by Teresa Bonacina, who also records under the Morgana name. The project works with other vocalists as well, and Annerley Gordon appears among those featured on Morgana projects.
Early background
Bonacina grows up listening to soul and dance music on the radio from the age of seven. She starts attending a specialist music school with her mother’s support, where she develops her voice professionally. By the age of 15, she is singing with a local band.
Recordings and releases
Morgana works with producer Mirko Dalporto on the singles “C’est Cupidon”, “Come Back To Me”, “Ready For Love” and “Don’t Give Up”. Other recordings associated with the project include “The Colours Of My Dreams”, “Melodies”, “When I Dream Of You” and “Feel The Night Away”.
The first major release for S.A.I.F.A.M. Publishing Group is “On The Run”, after which Morgana records tracks including “To My Heart”, “Can I Help You Baby” and “Never Gonna Make”. Morgana also appears with Ken Laszlo on “Maybe A Lonely Night”. In 2008, the project records “Killa” and “Turn It Into Love”.
Style and identity
The project is associated with Italo-Eurodance and is part of the Italian Eurodance scene. A separate heavy metal group, a power metal band, a Lithuanian death metal band, a German rapper and an Italian punk/coldwave act also use the name Morgana.
