Money includes Jamie Lee, Charlie Cocksedge, Billy Byron and Scott Beaman. In earlier activity, the group performs under several different names, including Youth, Books and Méké Menéte, before settling on Money.

The band signs to Bella Union and releases its debut album, The Shadow of Heaven. The record follows the group’s early years and establishes its melodic, ethereal rock direction.
