Mold

Mold is a rock group from the Faroe Islands. The name has also been used by several unrelated bands in other countries and styles, including a Polish nu metal and alternative act active from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s, a screamo band from Minneapolis, a hardcore and crust-influenced band from Raleigh active around 1990 to 1993 with a reunion show in 2006, and a death metal band from Copenhagen formed in 2011.

The Faroese Mold sits within the rock and metal space suggested by its tagging, with associations to death metal, nu metal and female vocals. The name also appears in a wider international context, with other groups called Mold formed in Canada, Norway, Germany and Japan.
