Miss Bashful

Miss Bashful, also known as Miss B, is a techno artist and DJ from Mexico City who is based in Berlin. She is raised in Houston, Texas, and later studies graphic design in Berlin. She also creates the graphics for her projects using those design skills.

Her music sits around pop, electronic, techno, house and ghettotech, and she describes her own style as “SlutTech” or “Slut Techno”. She identifies as a “sexy talker” rather than a rapper. Her lyrics are bold, playful and sexual, and often use sarcasm to address sex-positive, female-positive and slut-positive ideas around empowerment, fun and self-expression.

Before music, she works as an ex-stripper and retired sex worker. She leads a fan base she calls “The Sluts” or “Bashfulettes”, and presents her work as a message of self-love and empowerment, especially for women.

Releases and collaborations

Miss Bashful releases her first EP with producer DBBD in July 2022. She then continues with further collaborations and releases with DBBD, Stef De Haan and MCR-T. Her tracks include “Muschi Muschi”, “Mini Skirts on Men”, “Mustang65” and “Sad Slut”.

With DBBD, she is also known for hybrid DJ sets that combine live tracks, and their work is described through hard-hitting booty grooves and a Y2K aesthetic.
