Mishkin

Mishkin is a Leeds-based progressive metal five-piece that forms in 2005. The group tours throughout the UK and also tours China twice. It records a song for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and runs a series of music workshops for children in 20 locations across China.

Releases and sound

The band releases a critically acclaimed EP, State of Mute Fear, and follows it with a second EP, Row Away from the Rocks. That release is produced, mixed and mastered by Justin Hill of SikTh through WellerHill Productions at Fortress Studios in London. It contains four tracks and presents a heavier, rockier and more soulful sound, with influences cited as SikTh, Incubus and Faith No More. Its artwork is designed by British cartoonist Ralph Steadman.

Live activity and recognition

Mishkin plays shows alongside Sepultura, Enter Shikari and Skindred. The group also takes part in Red Bull Bedroom Jam, reaches the final 15, and sits high on the Festival Buzz Chart. Ben Davy is the singer.
