Mis-Teeq
Mis-Teeq are an R&B and hip hop group from London, United Kingdom. The act forms in 1999 and is active until 2005. It begins as a quartet with Zena McNally, Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington, then continues as a trio with Dixon, Nash and Washington.
Career
The group releases two studio albums and nine singles. After the announcement of their split in January 2005, they issue a compilation album, Greatest Hits. Their debut album, Mis-Teeq, receives a 2005 Soul Train Lady of Soul nomination for Best R&B/Soul Album - Group, Band or Duo.
Notable songs and later use
Their hit single “Scandalous” is later reworked for a Giorgio Armani commercial for the Armani Code fragrance.
After the group
Following the split, Alesha Dixon pursues a solo career. Her solo projects include the singles “Lipstick” and “Knock Down”, and albums titled Fired Up and The Alesha Show. Sabrina Washington changes her stage name to Puma Washington and releases a demo called “Pocket Rocket”, while Su-Elise Nash returns to university to study for a business degree and works on her own debut album.
