Million Dollar Reload

Million Dollar Reload is a hard rock band from Belfast, active from 2005 to 2015. The group forms in 2005 and begins writing its own material straight away, with Phil Conalane, Kie McMurray and Andy Mack starting the songwriting process in late summer of that year. During this period they write “Superslave”, “Degeneration” and “Give It All”.

With drummer Davy Cassa and guitarist B.A.M., the band records its first three-track EP at Manor Park Studios. The release is self-titled, Million Dollar Reload, and includes the songs written at the outset of the band’s career. The band name comes from “Give It All”, which uses a poker-game image and the line “I need a million dollar reload”; “reload” is used here in the sense of a buy-in.

Before joining the group, the members have already played and toured extensively in cover bands, apart from Davy Cassa, who has toured with Irish heavy metal band Sinocence. The band plays its first live show together during Christmas 2005 and begins building a live reputation in Belfast and Dublin. It also supports Alice Cooper, Gilby Clarke and Danny Vaughn.

By autumn 2006, Million Dollar Reload has more than 11 songs and records its debut album, Anthems of a Degeneration, for Bulletproof 20/20 Records.
