Mike Dignam is a Preston-born singer-songwriter and engineer. He begins his recording career in 2008, when he is 18, after winning the Youth Music National competition. He independently writes, records and releases his debut LP, World of Our Own.

The album helps build a growing fanbase and leads to early live appearances, including Rock in the Park alongside JLS, Tiao Cruz and Mr. Hudson. He also tours the UK with Gabrielle Aplin and releases a live acoustic EP. Through 2011 and 2012, he tours with Joe Brooks, Elliot Minor, Nick Harper, Roachford and Kate McGill, and appears at Rockness with Paolo Nutini, The Wombats, Katy B and Lucy Rose.

Writing and collaborations

Dignam works as a songwriter with the Steelworks team, The Invisible Men and Janet Devlin. He also co-writes The Mend’s debut single, “Where Were You”.

Releases and touring

His second studio EP, Paint, leads to a European run built around street performances and pop-up gigs, taking him from the UK to France, Brussels, Germany and Austria. After returning to the UK, he tours with Lawson on their 18-date arena run across the UK and Ireland.

He later releases a third studio EP, Young, and continues with festival appearances, a June and July partnership with local HMV stores, and a 15-date headline tour of the UK and Ireland.
