Miike Snow
Miike Snow is a Stockholm-based electronic and electropop group formed in 2007. It consists of American songwriter Andrew Wyatt and Swedish producers Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg. The group is active from 2007 to the present, and its sound is associated with alternative dance, festival progressive house, indietronica, progressive house and synth-pop.
Albums and singles
The group releases its self-titled debut album, Miike Snow, in 2009. Its lead single, “Animal”, appears on television shows including Gossip Girl. The second album, Happy To You, follows in 2012, and the third studio album, iii, appears in 2016.
Other work
Before and alongside Miike Snow, Karlsson and Winnberg work as the production duo Bloodshy & Avant. Under that name they write and produce for Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Britney Spears, and they receive a Grammy for their work on Britney Spears’ “Toxic”. Wyatt also contributes co-production work with Mark Ronson on Daniel Merriweather’s Love And War.
Activity
After touring in 2012, the band pauses to pursue individual projects before returning with iii.
