MC Det

MC Det is a UK drum and bass and jungle MC who is involved in the jungle scene from the rave era onwards. He begins as an MC on the pirate drum and bass station Kool FM, and his work is associated with both jungle and drum and bass.

His first jungle MC album is Out of Det, released on Sour Records in 1995. The album achieves success in the UK, as well as in the United States, Japan and Europe. He also records albums with Red Snapper and Cut la Roc, which shows a range beyond one style of music.

His later album Knights of the MC appears on Times Two Records and features Skibadee, Dynamite MC, Ed Solo and the Ragga Twins.
