Matzka
Matzka, also known as 瑪斯卡, is the stage name used by Weinong Song, a Taiwanese musician from Jinfeng, Taiwan, born in 1982. He is associated with reggae and reggae-rock, and his work is linked with Taiwanese aboriginal identity, including Paiwan and Puyuma heritage.
Background
The name Matzka is also used for a four-piece reggae-rock band formed in Taitung, Taiwan in 2008 and named after the lead vocalist. In that group, the other members are bass player Nanwan (阿修), drummer Mavaliw (阿勝), and guitarist Sakinu (阿輝). All of the members are of Taiwanese aboriginal descent, specifically Paiwan and Puyuma.
