Matthew Perryman Jones
Matthew Perryman Jones is an American singer-songwriter from Levittown, United States. Born in 1973, he begins performing in 1997 and makes his debut at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia before moving to Nashville.
Career
Jones releases his first album, Nowhere Else But Here, in 2000, followed by the EP For the Road in 2003. His 2006 album Throwing Punches in the Dark is produced by Neilson Hubbard, who also works with Glen Phillips and Garrison Starr, and it receives strong critical attention. Jones works with Hubbard again on Swallow the Sea, released in 2008.
Later releases and collaborations
He releases Land of the Living in 2012 and The Waking Hours in 2018. Jones also appears as part of Ten Out of Tenn, alongside artists including Katie Herzig, Erin McCarley, Butterfly Boucher and Andrew Belle. He shares stages with Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Paula Cole.

Jones has more than 30 film and television placements, including on Grey's Anatomy, Bones, One Tree Hill, Pretty Liars and Private Practice.
