Marcus Marr is a UK electronic artist who releases records through DFA Records. His work includes the tracks “Brown Sauce” and “The Music”, and he is a regular at Berlin nightclub Berghain/Panorama Bar.

Early influences

Marr describes himself as a lifelong music obsessive. His early exposure to dance music comes through acid house records, which sit alongside a vinyl collection that also includes rock and soul. He also attends all-night parties under Brixton’s St. Matthews Church, and later travels to the south of England to watch DJ Harvey play a long set, which shows him the impact a DJ can have on a crowd.

Collaborations and releases

In 2015, Marr records a four-track EP with Chet Faker called Work. It is released through Chet Faker’s label, Detail Records, and includes the tracks “Birthday Card”, “Learning For Your Love”, “The Trouble With Us” and “Killing Jar”. Marr also has a debut solo album scheduled for release via DFA Records in 2016.
