Make Them Suffer
Make Them Suffer are an Australian metal band from Perth, Australia, active since 2009. Their sound combines deathcore with metalcore, and they are also associated with alternative metal, black metal, melodic metalcore, metalcore, progressive metalcore, symphonic deathcore, death metal and blackened deathcore. They are signed to Rise Records and SharpTone Records.
Line-up
The group’s current line-up includes Sean Harmanis on unclean vocals, with clean vocals as well, Nick McLernon on guitar and backing vocals, Jaya Jeffery on bass, Jordan Mather on drums, and Alex Reade on clean vocals and keyboards. Former members include Booka Nile on clean vocals and keyboards, Chris Arias-Real on bass, Lachlan Monty on rhythm guitar, and Louisa Burton on keyboards and clean/backing vocals. Over time, the band has also included Richard West, Heather Menaglio, Tim Madden, Cody Brooks and Craig Buckingham.
Releases
The band releases its debut EP, Lord of Woe, in 2010. Its first full-length album, Neverbloom, follows in 2012 and reaches No. 56 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Old Souls arrives in 2015 and peaks at No. 30, then is reissued in 2016 with bonus material. The band releases Worlds Apart in 2017 and How to Survive a Funeral in 2020. Its self-titled album, Make Them Suffer, appears in November 2024, features Alex Reade on a full-length record for the first time, and reaches No. 38 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Make Them Suffer are known for mixing heavy, extreme-metal elements with orchestral, atmospheric and melodic parts, alongside technical playing and an emotionally intense approach.
