Machine Rox

Machine Rox is a London-based electronic project active since 2007. It is led by Richard Kaltenhauser, also known as Richard K, who is associated with the industrial bands Meat Machine and Global Noise Attack (GNA). In those groups he works as a bass player, guitarist and programmer.

Style and background

The project develops from Kaltenhauser’s early interest in using electronics in rock music. He is described as one of the pioneers of sequencers and drum machines in the goth rock scene, and Machine Rox follows a path from goth and rock into electro-industrial music. Its listed genres also include electro, industrial metal and metal.

Line-up and live members

In 2010, the female singer Aga joins the project. For live shows in 2012, Nuj Farrow is recruited on drums and Valerian Oproiu on guitar.

Releases and label

Machine Rox is signed to Synchrotrax. The project also circulates free promotional material for DJs, radio and magazines, and it offers downloads, extended mixes and remixes through its online presence.
