Lust

Lust is a name used by several different artists and bands in a range of styles. The best-documented version is a blackened death metal project from Canada, formed in 1994. It plays harsh, chaotic and fast blackened death metal and uses themes including satanism, death, a metal lifestyle, perversion, occultism and neo-Nazism. It releases material between 1997 and 2005. The project begins as a three-piece with Genocide Lord on bass and Inferno on drums, then becomes a solo project led by Sabazios Diabolus from the turn of the millennium. It is described as being on a long hiatus.

Another Lust is an American melodic heavy metal band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1982. It is active until 1986, when it changes its name to Hocus Pocus.

A separate Mexican black/thrash metal band called Lust records a promo tape in 1998 that is distributed locally and enters the Mexican underground metal scene. After the vocalist leaves and the line-up changes, it remains a quartet. It records three songs for a split with Raped God, which remains unreleased, and later promotes two songs on a CDr limited to 666 copies in 2006.

There is also a Brazilian black metal band from Itajubá city that starts under the name Lord Amduscias and later changes its name to Fortian Greymorning.
